He launched the house’s ready-to-wear lines in 1977, creating glamorous women's wear. However you look at it Karl Lagerfeld is a fashion genius !

GUCCI

Gucci is a luxury brand that I love.The House of Gucci started when founder Guccio Gucci opened a leather-goods workshop and store in Florence in 1921. Moreover by the sixties and seventies, Gucci was one of the world’s premier luxury-goods brands. Actually Tom Ford helped turn Gucci into a sexy modern brand. Gucci has evolved and changed over the years. However it's most resent incarnation under Alessandro Michele is exciting and hugely popular.

VALENTINO

Valentino may well be the epitome of Italian design .Hence the only label to have designed wedding dresses for both Jackie O. and J. Lo, Valentino is synonymous with opulence, extravagance, and drama. In business since 1960, Valentino Garavani made his mark early with intricately detailed, luxurious gowns and tastefully body-conscious silhouettes—even perfecting his own shade of Valentino Red.

DOLCE & GABBANA

Darlings Dolce and Gabbana is in a word Italy. Presumably those of you who know me are aware I love Dolce & Gabbana. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana founded Dolce & Gabbana in 1982, showing their first women’s collection in Milan three years later to widespread praise. Moreover from then till now this extraordinary brand has grown to a huge success.

VERSACE

Of course growing up as a gay boy who loved fashion Versace was everything.The Italian label, branded by the signature medusa motif was  founded by the late Gianni Versace in 1978. Most of all Versace has always epitomized over-the-top sexiness and glamour.However the design reins were taken over by Gianni's sister, Donatella, after Gianni was murdered in Miami Beach in 1997. Since then Donatella oversees every collection.

MISSONI

Darlings if you want to learn about knits  look no further than Missoni. The story of Missoni's now-legendary patterned knits of zigzags, waves, and stripes began in 1948 when founders Rosita and Ottavio (Tai) met at the Olympic games in London (he was a runner and designed the Italian team's uniforms, while she was there studying English). They opened a small knitwear workshop in Gallarate, Italy, after marrying in 1953. By 1965, legendary editor Anna Piaggi (then of Arianna magazine) took a liking to the designing couple and their bold, geometric patterns, and helped boost their credibility to international status.
