Yellow is on Trend

The yellow trend is hot, hot , hot for spring 2017. Wether it's mustard or canary , lemon or sunflower yellow is everywhere ! As the spring shows went on last fall we watched for what would be the arising trends. Color is often a major trend that defines a season. Yellow along with pink ( which I have already covered) have stood out as focused tones for 2017.

Personally I rarely wear or purchase yellow clothes. I remember years ago I had a favorite yellow sweater , but I can't think of any other yellow clothes I have had. Yellow gets a bit of a bum rap as far as colors go . Since yellow is not always the easiest color to wear. While that may have been true in the past, this spring and summer explore the 50 shades of yellow.

YELLOW TREND ON THE RUNWAYS

First of all let's note that yellow is a  sunshiny ,cheery, optimistic color . Therefore the spring  runway shows highlighted the yellow trend maybe with an attempt to cheer us up. I have never seen a population in more need of a boost of optimism, maybe yellow is the answer. 

The NYFW shows for Spring /Summer 2017 gave us lot's of yellow ,as did the shows of London Fashion Week.

Yellow Spring/Summer Dresses

First of all , I have selected some great yellow dresses to add that splash needed to keep you on trend. From my research the last time yellow was so hot was in the 1950's . The 1950's trend toward yellow was a response of optimism after World War 2. I believe our move towards bright yellows and greens (Greenery) is more one of hope for the future.

                         Yellow is  a great color for Accessories

Some of you, like me may have a hard time wearing yellow. Consequently a great idea is to add yellow through your accessories . A yellow handbag or yellow shoes may be just the way to add this on trend splash of color.

YELLOW  TREND FOR S/S 2017

With the sunny outlook of a buttercup or tone of an egg yolk yellow is bright and cheerful. I have covered three spring color trends , pink , greenery, and finally yellow. I also reccommend to get out of your comfort zone. Therefore take a look at adding yellow to your spring/summer wardrobe and be on trend .
