FANTASTIC PLASTIC RAINCOATS YOU NEED TO KNOW IN 2018

PLASTIC RAINCOATS

PLASTIC RAIN COATS; SPRING IS COMING

Plastic Raincoats are all the rage. Darlings it's January and winter is underway in most of the North America. While here in Vancouver we don't experience the real cold or snowy winters like back east. Even so we get soooo much rain . With this in mind I start to think about the flowers of spring ,and gin and tonic's , and of course raincoats. Surprisingly the raincoats for spring 2018 are plastic raincoats.

Whenever I think of plastic and fashion I conjure up visions of the unconventional challenge on Project Runway. When beginning to research this post I looked at a huge number of the Spring and Summer Collections. In fact it was not only plastic raincoats that stood out but plastic and vinyl skirts, pants and dresses. Darlings for our purposes here I'm going to mainly commit to plastic raincoats .

PLASTIC RAINCOATS IN THE 60'S

The 1960s featured a number of diverse trends made up of unique and innovative materials. The futuristic styles of the 60s included pieces made out of nylon, corfam, orlon, spandex, and the most questionable of all- plastic. Some pre-fall 2018 pieces that were seen on the runway were partially influenced by the creativity that existed in this era. A number of designer brands stood out from the rest by incorporating some distinctive synthetic pieces that significantly contributed to the success of their collection.

Raincoats.

The weather forecasts seems to predict a rainy 2018 Spring? Fear not. The latest collections featured a great variety of raincoats  to suit all tastes. Ultra-light and flowing for Alberta Ferretti, Calvin Klein, Isabel Marant and Sportmax. Water-resistant materials are no longer limited to the jacket but take over dresses, skirts and trousers. More technical the versions seen at Balenciaga, Fenty x Puma and Marc Jacobs. While Chanel, Balmain and Valentino offered an utterly chic take in clear pvc.

But the spring/ summer 2018 fashion trends went even more daring and futuristic, suggesting wearing clear plastic fashion items, like the ones we saw at Chanel, Valentino, Balmain, Marc Jacobs, Ellery, and many others.

PLASTIC RAINCOATS

In conclusion darlings I enjoyed writing this post. Since plastic raincoats are a trend that may not appeal to all , I wrote this blog to not only show these raincoats but also to teach something . While looking at the raincoats, it is the unconventional materials of plastic and vinyl that stand out. Therefore to see great designers like  Karl Lagerfeld and Calvin Klein master these materials shows their creativity. Whatever your desire is, to be a fashion designer, a blogger or any other role in the fashion world (including customer) never ignore creativity. It is creativity that dresses you every morning . Please shop my site and please leave a comment , I love to read them.
