Here is my love affair with Gucci 2019. Certainly I don't worship at the shrine of any designer, but Alessandro Michele comes close. Since coming to Gucci Alessandro has reinvented the once faltering label . In fact stylish women everywhere lust after the must have hundreds of Gucci pieces to shop each season.

Of course Gucci 2019 has some absolutely fabulous pieces for your shopping . However how many of us can afford a full Gucci look . Moreover many find an entire Gucci look too much for their personal style. Therefore a Gucci belt , shoes or bag can  turn an outfit into a look. Furthermore that's why often times the accessories are what become the most coveted Gucci pieces.

THE BEST LUXURY ACCESSORIES IN THE WORLD

For its spring/summer 2019 collection, Gucci  showcased its signature quirky accessories, from oversized sunglasses to huge hats, jewelled tiaras and covetable bags, and the most notable piece was a bag shaped like Mickey Mouse. Alongside the brand’s weird and wonderful ready-to-wear, Alessandro Michele upped the spectacle with a screening of an abstract film by Italian duo Leo de Berardinis and Perla Peragallo, as well as a special performance from Jane Birkin.

GUCCI S/S 2019

UNDERSTANDING GUCCI

Certainly the fashion world is being changed in part by the influence of Alessandro Michele and his House of Gucci . In fact the Gucci of Tom Ford with it's overt-sexiness seems like a distant memory. However the path Michele has ventured down is a path that speaks to me. Moreover it's a fantastical world created by a costume designer come fashion designer. Therefore, as a costume designer myself, I have some understanding of this world that uses historical references, fashion history, creative expression and iconic motifs.

I are not saying Gucci is for everyone but Gucci does have a tangible allure. Certainly it’s bright, it’s fun; it’s like a happy dance for both the eyes and the mind, and it is especially ideal for fashion maximalists. Furthermore it's for the boldest among us , those who have developed a personal style that speaks of eccentricity, of creativity and joy. Please shop my selections and leave comments.
