VANCOUVER FASHION WEEK F/W22

HBT is a French fashion brand that has been in existence in its present form since 2016. They are active in the French and European markets, and are here at Vancouver Fashion Week introducing their brand to North America.
HBT originated in the early 1990s as a creative idea of a Marseilles tailors family. Almost twenty years later, under the direction of the younger generation, HBT is a ready-to-wear label that is committed to using the latest innovations in textiles to create a brand for today's market.

The runway and the models are ready. The premiere of HBT in Vancouver is an exciting event. The brand has created a collection that is extensive, varied, and cohesive. The label has a mandate to create clothes for an active lifestyle. HBT has embraced the use of the latest textiles using recyclable polyamide, a synthetic fiber generally used in sports clothing. However, in this case, it is incorporated into versatile ready-to-wear that is innovative, future-driven, and classy.

HBT creates breathable, comfortable, and functional clothing for women and men. The colors are harmonious neutrals that make for a collection where pieces can be easily mixed and matched. Khaki green, charcoal, black, and earth tones create the backbone of the palette; a splash of blue, a flash of rust, and a hint of dark forest green add detail and variation. Several prints are used in the designs; one standout is the HBT logo incorporated into a print.HBT

The clothing is relaxed and easy. Blazers, jackets, and pants are structured but not overly tailored. The soft-shouldered blazers and jackets have refined details and a slouchy ease that says luxury. The garments are body conscience while all the time stressing comfort. Some pieces featured the brand's logo HBT embossed on them. The look like leather ensembles are edgy and bold. A standout look of a blazer and drawstring pants, complete with strings of beads and a tube top, is luxe and sensual.

While the term cool may sound outdated, this collection updates that term with some stellar pieces. The checked jacket with wide trousers is a pop of inventive streetwear. A male model wears a pale green jumpsuit with detailed top-stitching like a second skin. There are many notable elements in this collection that push sportswear in a new direction. There is something that is quintessentially French about this collection. The French idea of elegant, chic, and effortless dressing is embodied in these clothes.

HBT is a label that is fresh, youthful and full of well crafted pieces. All the attention to detail made for a collection where even the most straightforward pieces are worthy of a second look.
